The National Pharmacy R&D Conference is a triennial event organised by the Pharmaceutical Services Programme (PSP), Ministry of Health (MOH) since 2002 (it was a biennial event until 2018). The conference provides a platform for pharmacy and healthcare personnel to share research findings and expand their research networks.
This year, the 12th National Pharmacy R&D Conference 2024 (12NPRnDC) was organised by the PSP, MOH in collaboration with the Malaysian Pharmacists Society (MPS) on 19–21 August 2024 at KSL Esplanade Hotel, Klang, Selangor. The theme of this conference is "Unity for Medicine Security: Collaborative Solutions for a Safer Future". In line with the theme, the main objective of the conference is to share research findings pertaining to medicines and vaccines in Malaysia, encompassing a broad area from drug and vaccine development, to access to medicines and pharmaceutical care for patients and consumers.
The latest issue of Pharmacy Research Reports, Volume 7, 2024, will feature a special supplement dedicated to this year’s 12NPRnDConference abstracts. A total of 129 abstracts, which will be presented during this conference in either oral or poster format was included in this supplement issue. Contributions come from wide array of institutions, including the PSP, the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Sarawak Biodiversity Centre, and Duopharma Innovation Sdn Bhd Malaysia.
